Community Partnerships

Healthy Children, Healthy Communities

Our Community Partnerships were born out of a desire for our 30 communities to have a more personal source of support. It is our goal to find a Community Partner for each community in our Community Health Development Program.

Our Partners stay connected:  Our Community Partners receive updates, stories, and photos as your community is visited throughout the year.  They are able to watch how your partnership makes a difference throughout the year.

"I love the community

partnership program because

I know God is using our gifts to

change an entire community."

                -Bruce Carter

Through an annual contribution of $3,250.00, a Friends of Barnabas Community Partner, provides the following to a sponsored community:

  • Continued educational support for community leaders and community health volunteers through weekly telephone calls, distribution of materials, and video support

  • Virtual educational support for small groups within communities

  • Remote community lectures by our Community Health Nurses, offered weekly rather than monthly, through video productions on topics such as:

    • Proper handwashing

    • How to keep children entertained during quarantine

    • Devotionals

    • Why not to use an infant walker

    • How to properly disinfect surfaces

“When the clinic numbers are read after a team visits in one of our communities, there is a sense of awe in the room, knowing we also touched each of those lives.”
